José Triguero + Gemma Palomar

Gemma & José are graduates of the National Centre for Circus Arts.

Specialising in Chinese pole, Gemma has worked across the world with companies such as Avant Garde Dance, Cirque Bijou and Upswing, and in the Olympic Torch Relay show in 2012. Gemma is from Girona, Spain, and has a background in rhythmic gymnastics.

José has performed with Gandini Juggling since 2012, touring Smashed and 8 Songs internationally.  He has also performed in Kezziah Serreau’s Strike, and New London Consort’s Fairy Queen.

The pair first worked together after José won the Deutsche Bank Pyramid Award for Circus in 2010 to create “H”, which he co-directed and Gemma performed in. The show was developed at Jacksons Lane and had a small international tour in 2012.

Cul De Sac was born out of a desire to create circus with strong skills and sharp humour. This juggling piece is where it all began.
